Moreau Town Court is located at 351 Reynolds Rd., Moreau, NY 12828, in Saratoga County. Moreau is at the Northern most tip of Saratoga County close to Glens Falls. The Court is located at the Town Hall, which is about 2 miles from exit 17 once you exit the Northway. You simply turn on Reynolds Rd. and once you reach the Hess station, the court is about ½ mile on your left.
Once you arrive at the Moreau Town Court and enter, the courtroom is directly to your left. It’s a very large courtroom (given the volume this court receives) and there is plenty of seating. The Clerk’s office is located directly in front of you. The clerks are generally there Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am and 4pm
Jeffery B. McGuire and Timothy J. Alden are the two Judges in the Moreau Town Court. They are both pleasant judges and appear to enjoy their positions. Court is held every Thursday and the Judges alternate Thursdays. The Criminal calendar will generally start at 9am and the traffic calendar will generally start at 2pm.
It can be noted that this court handles a high volume of criminal cases (including DWI’s) and also handles a high volume of traffic matters from I-87, the Northway.
Saratoga County ADA Martin Pozefsky, Esq., handles traffic matters in the court and is very easy to work with – he’s a nice guy. He typically handles traffic matters during scheduled pre-trial conferences at the Court or allows defense attorneys to correspond directly with his office. He typically does not take phone calls regarding traffic matters due to volume.
